Landscape Design Workshop

2 Part Class
August 24th & September 5th

Landscape Design Part 1 - Brought To You By The Muskingum County Master Gardener Volunteers.
Landscape design presented in a fashion that will easily walk you through the steps of accomplishing your ideas. Landscape design (part 1) will include how to design the shape, choose the proper plants for your location and create year-round color by selecting a variety of plants that favor a specific season. Absorb a visual presentation regarding number sequence, focal points and layering. Hand-outs will be given to outline our discussion and assist you in the research that will be completed at home. Learn to draw your ideal landscape bed, and place your plants accordingly. Participants will be given a drawing tablet to practice sketching their design and a list/checklist, conducted from our outline and your notes to assist in your research. Everyone will have until September 5th to explore their choices and adjust the design/sketch until pleased with all decisions. Our guest, Marc Brockman from Timber Run Gardens will be joining us to share his expertise.

Landscape Design Part 2 - Brought To You By The Muskingum County Master Gardener Volunteers Participants will return with their landscape designs. We will discuss your decisions and determine if any adjustments or alternative choices need to be made. Leave with a list of plants to be purchased and a design that will easily guide you through installing your new creation. Again, Marc Brockman will be assisting participants and provide everyone with a list of plants/trees that will be available at the Annual Fall Sale at Timber Run Gardens.
